Dems report raising $6,446 war chest

October 9, 2007

The campaign financial disclosure report for the Geneseo’s Future Party was filed at the Livingston County Board of Elections this morning at 11:08 a.m. The report had apparently been filed electronically with Albany before last Friday’s deadline, but the Committee was not aware that the law also required a printed copy to be filed with the local Board of Elections as well.

Geneseo’s Future is the name of the independent party being used by the three Democratic candidates in the town election, and also the name of the committee through which money is being raised and expended for those candidates.

The report showed a total of $6,446 had been raised prior to the October 1 reporting deadline for the 32 day Pre-General election report. Of that amount the committee had reported spending $2,877.62, leaving a balance on hand of $3,768.38.

There were a total of $1,425 in un-itemized contributions. State law does not require identification of donors of $99 or less. Among the heavy contributors were Martha Wadsworth and Mike Millard with $500 each.

The candidates themselves chipped in a total of $1,200. Supervisor candidate Bob Wilcox gave $400, while Town Board candidates Sally Wood gave $550 and John Zmich ponied up $250.

As of press time at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, the committees for Will Wadsworth and Wes Kennison had not filed a report with the county board. Complete details of the Geneseo’s Future report can be found here.
